Sextent Tesla Coil
These metallic monoliths will be hot off the truck from the dusty desert gathering and ready for some urban action! We proudly announce take two for the sextant crew who’ll be sparking up this pair of 20-foot tall tesla coils to transform our boardwalk into a portal of electric spasms and firing synapses reflecting in the water of Islais Creek come night fall at #SHSF2015.

The project is inspired by the intersection of science, technology, maker culture, and of course, the artists’ favorite book, Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. HYBYCOZO was created to take a passion for design, technology, geometry, and installation art to the next level through thought provoking objects.

Blumen Lumen at Superhero Street Fair 2015

Blumen Lumen
This art project was first created for Burning Man 2014, funded by a Kickstarter campaign + BRAF grant. They create an oasis of surreal, gigantic flowers that invites participants to explore and gather within the illuminated, unfolding petals. The flowers are truly ALIVE and aware of our presence. The energy and movement we give is returned by our surroundings: they open, light up, and make their own display of lights as we move around them. Designed by team of engineers, the concept was inspired by the Japanese art of Origami—unique forms created from a single sheet with folds and geometry. There will be 3 featured at SHSF looming above our glowing art installation boardwalk. As the petals breathe in and out, so we welcome the change of season, in the spirit of blooming in super powerful ways!

Mini Squared at Superhero Street Fair 2015

Mini Squared
“Mini Squared” by Artist Charles Gadeken is a prototype version of a 50-foot sculpture originally created for Burning Man 2015. Each cube is geometrically arranged in a fractal orientation. The LED programming focuses on big color fades in bold hues, keeping the obelisks in near solid colors within a paired visual harmony. The programming also incorporates jaded transformations that are enhanced by the fractal arrangement of the physical plastic cubes. SQUARED changes the patterns based on sensory input and interactive controls manipulated by YOU!
